The Victorian era cemeteries in South East London have a unique and beautiful landscape. This project was to reflect the mood of walking through a cemetery.
Walking round a cemetery can be a reflective, imaginative and quietly joyful thing to do. Our aim was to create a film that reflected that mood.
We started with the script as the basis and made sure that we shot enough pictures in the cemetery to reflect its content.
The DoP (Marcelo Vianna) was also going to edit the piece and so he had free rein to shoot in the style he wanted to.
Since we published the film it has received some lovely thoughts and comments. Many people have connected with the mood and the reflective state that a walk in the cemetery induces. For us, it was a chance to indulge our artistic sides as the film has no function other than telling its story.
